At Air Blade Aviation, safety is our top priority. We are dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and enjoyable helicopter services by adhering to the highest standards of aviation safety and compliance with the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations.

1. Fleet Maintenance and Compliance

Our helicopters undergo rigorous maintenance and inspections to ensure they are airworthy and meet all regulatory requirements. We utilize certified parts and maintain comprehensive records for each aircraft.

2. Pilot Training and Certification

All our pilots hold valid SACAA licenses and undergo continuous training to stay current with industry standards and safety protocols.

3. Pre-Flight Safety Briefings

Before each flight, passengers receive a comprehensive safety briefing covering:

  • Proper boarding and deplaning procedures
  • In-flight conduct and emergency protocols
  • Use of safety equipment and seat belts

4. Passenger Conduct

Passengers are expected to:

  • Follow all instructions from the pilot and crew
  • Refrain from consuming alcohol or drugs before or during the flight
  • Avoid disruptive behavior that could compromise safety

5. Weather and Operational Conditions

Flights are subject to weather conditions. We reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or cancel flights to ensure passenger and crew safety.

6. Emergency Preparedness

We are equipped with survival kits and satellite communication systems. Our aircraft are fitted with Spider Tracks, a reliable satellite-based flight-following system, enabling real-time tracking and communication during operations .

7. Risk Management

We conduct thorough risk assessments for each operation, considering factors such as terrain, weather, and flight objectives. This proactive approach helps mitigate potential hazards and ensures safe operations .All flights are subject to availability and weather conditions.

– Any request to increase flight time will incur additional charges.

– Passenger names and and weights are required to confirm booking and to determine luggage allowances.

– Fares are only valid for the date specified.

– Fares are for the helicopter component only – all other tour components are arranged and charged independently.

– All prices are in South African Rands and include 15% Value Added Tax (VAT).

– The following fees apply for payment by credit card VISA & MASTERCARD 2% or AMEX 3%
